Description

Quick Summary:

The Janome Memory Craft 6700P is where precision and industrial-level power intersect. Designed to bridge the gap between domestic convenience and industrial speed, this machine is a true workhorse built on a premium, powder-coated all-metal flatbed.

Engineered with enclosed ball bearings in its main shaft, the MC6700P provides an exceptionally smooth, quiet, and vibration-free sewing experience even when running at its top speed of 1,200 stitches per minute.

Whether you are topstitching a heavy denim jacket, piecing together a quilt, or gliding through delicate silks, this machine offers the expansive workspace and heavy-duty reliability required for professional-level garment construction and creative sewing.

Best for:

Professional apparel sewists, heavy canvas workers, bagmakers, and advanced quilters. It is the perfect upgrade for an experienced sewist who needs high-speed piecing and heavy-duty reliability without sacrificing the versatility of decorative stitches and automated buttonholes.

Why we Love it:

We love the MC6700P at Boho Fabrics because it feels like a true professional tool rather than a toy. The powder-coated metal flatbed isn't just beautiful—it provides a massive, rock-solid surface that prevents heavy fabrics from dragging. The combination of blazing speed, 91 distinct needle positions, and the heavy-duty AcuFeed system makes it the ultimate, uncompromising machine for serious garment construction.

Key Features:

  • High-Speed Stability: Thanks to its internal ball bearings and die-cast metal frame, you get flawless stitching even at 1,200 SPM.
  • Precision Topstitching: The included Professional Grade HP (High Performance) needle plate and narrow foot mimic an industrial straight-stitch machine, giving you unmatched visibility and control around curves and tight seams.
  • Mastering Tricky Fabrics: The AcuFeed Flex™ system feeds your fabric from both the top and bottom simultaneously, ensuring perfectly matched plaids, smooth knit seams without stretching, and slip-free sewing on vinyl or leather.

Specifications:

  • Speed: Up to 1,200 Stitches Per Minute (SPM)
  • Workspace: 10-inch seamless all-metal flatbed
  • Stitches: 200 built-in stitches, 9 one-step buttonholes, and 5 alphabet fonts
  • Max Stitch Width / Length: 9mm width / 5mm length
  • Feed System: AcuFeed Flex™ Layered Fabric Feeding System & 7-Piece Feed Dog
  • Construction: Premium powder-coated metal body with internal ball-bearing design
  • Included Feet: 17 standard feet (including the Professional Grade HP foot and plate)

FAQ:

Does it sew through heavy denim and canvas? Yes! With its powerful motor, superior needle penetration, and the AcuFeed Flex walking foot system, the MC6700P glides through thick layers, making it an excellent choice for bagmaking and heavy utility sewing.

Can I sew knits with it? Absolutely. You can easily dial in the exact presser foot pressure you need and utilize the AcuFeed Flex system to ensure your highly stretchable knits feed evenly without waving or puckering.

What is the HP Foot and Plate? It is a special narrow presser foot and matching needle plate included with this machine that places the needle in the optimal left position. It gives you the exact feel and precision of an industrial straight-stitch machine, which is incredible for precise topstitching and garment detailing.

Things to Know Before Buying:

The MC6700P features a traditional flatbed design, meaning it does not have a free-arm capability. If you frequently need a free arm to hem very small tubular items like tiny cuffs or children's leggings, you will need to sew inside the tube. Additionally, this is a substantial, heavy-duty machine (weighing 24.2 lbs) meant for a dedicated sewing station rather than being carried back and forth to weekly classes.

Closest Comparisons:
  • Janome MC6700P vs. Skyline S7 AE: Both are top-tier 9mm machines with AcuFeed Flex. However, the Skyline S7 AE features a free-arm, an LCD color touchscreen, and maxes out at 1,060 SPM. The MC6700P trades the free-arm and touchscreen for a larger, all-metal flatbed and faster industrial speeds (1,200 SPM).
  • Janome MC6700P vs. HD9 Professional: If you only need to sew straight stitches through heavy leather and canvas, the mechanical HD9 offers blistering 1,600 SPM speeds. But if you need high speed plus 9mm zigzag capabilities, buttonholes, and decorative stitches, the MC6700P is the better choice.

Why We Love it

Are your fabrics sold by the yard or half yard?

Everything's sold by the yard with a few exceptions.  Certain Ribbing & Quilting Cottons are sold by the half yard (but this is stated in the title).

What is your order processing time?

As of Feb 20th, we're zipping through orders in 2-4 business days! 🚀 Please be patient with fabric bundles though, these do take us just a little be longer since they are curated specially for you.

Just a heads up, though - during the holiday frenzy or after a mega sale like Black Friday, it might take up to 10 business days. We're on it, though, aiming to get those gorgeous fabrics in your hands within 5 days!

Do you Combine Shipping?

Absolutely! Place any orders within 3 business days of each other, and we'll snug them together. If they're further apart, just shoot us an email at bohofabrics@gmail.com, and we'll see what we can do. Any shipping overages will come back to you as a Boho Giftcard. 🎁

Do you Refund Shipping Overages?

Great News!  We now offer FREE SHIPPING for all orders over $175 within the Contiguous USA!  If your order is less than $175, we offer flat rate shipping for $12.95.  Due to our new Flat Rate Shipping policy, we do not refund shipping overages.

Can I cancel my order?

You bet, as long as we haven't printed that shipping label. We'll refund your order minus a 5% fee.

How much is Shipping?

For orders over $175, shipping's on us within the Contiguous USA! Orders under $175 have a flat rate of $12.95. Really big orders might need to bypass PO Boxes and head straight to a traditional address via UPS or FedEx.

*Excludes Shipping to PO Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico. Shipping overages will be invoiced to customers for packages being shipped to those regions.

What is your Return Policy?

Gotcha covered! If the fabric isn't quite what you envisioned, send it back within 14 days of receiving it, uncut and unwashed, for a refund

Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable as this is a cost incurred and not refunded to us by the carriers.

We recommend obtaining tracking for any returns you send as well as sending us an email so that we can be on alert for the package (and to process your return faster!)

Please send returns to:

Boho Fabrics LLC

14600 York Road, Suite J

Sparks, MD 21152

Do you offer local pickup?

Of course!  Select Pick-Up at check-out and we will send you an email/pick-up notification once it's ready.

Do you offer International Shipping?

Worldwide, baby! 🌍 Email us for a quote. It's a bit pricier, but we'll make sure you get the best rate possible. Just a note: Special deals including shipping might have extra charges for international orders.
