Quick Summary:

The Janome CoverPro 3000 Professional (CP3000P) represents the pinnacle of home coverstitch technology. Designed to give you the exact finish of industrial, ready-to-wear garments, this machine introduces an industry-first built-in Top Cover Stitch guide. This allows you to easily create the double-sided grid look commonly found on high-end athletic wear and premium t-shirts without needing complicated, external attachments.
Engineered with ball-bearing driven motor shafts, the CP3000P provides a vibration-free, heavy-duty sewing experience that glides through thick seams without skipping. Paired with Janome's exclusive Tension Level Control (TLC) and a brilliant retractable High Light, it takes the frustration out of knit finishing and elevates your handmade wardrobe to a retail-quality level.

Best for:

This machine is built for advanced garment sewists, activewear designers, and ambitious creators looking for the absolute best in knit finishing. If you want the distinctive top cover stitch seen on professional athletic wear, struggle with needle threading on your current machine, and need heavy-duty, vibration-free stability, this is the ultimate investment.

Why we Love it:

We love the CoverPro 3000P at Boho Fabrics because it finally brings true industrial-style top coverstitching to the home sewist in a highly approachable package. We absolutely love the built-in needle threader—which is a massive time-saver—and the retractable High Light that completely eliminates shadows over the workspace. The ball-bearing construction makes it feel incredibly robust, ensuring our activewear sewists get professional results every single time.

Key Features:

  • Top Cover Stitching: With its built-in Top Cover Stitch guide, you can create a beautiful, highly elastic double-sided cover hem (stitching the interlocking grid on both the top and bottom of the fabric) perfectly suited for leggings and activewear.
  • Flawless Fabric Control: The Tension Level Control (TLC) system lets you instantly switch from standard knits to sheer fabrics with the flip of a switch, automatically adjusting tension to prevent puckering and waving.
  • Heavy-Duty Stability: The use of enclosed ball bearings in the main shaft drastically reduces vibration, extending the machine's lifespan and ensuring perfectly smooth, skipped-free stitches even at top speeds.
  • Unmatched Visibility: It is the brightest coverstitch machine on the market, featuring three LED locations, including Janome's exclusive pull-out retractable High Light that illuminates your needle area directly to eliminate shadows.
  • Painless Threading: It features a built-in 3-position needle threader, saving you from the eye-strain and frustration of manually threading up to three needles.

  • Speed: Up to 1,000 Stitches Per Minute (SPM)

FAQ:

What is a top cover stitch? A standard coverstitch has two parallel straight lines on top and a looper grid on the bottom. A top cover stitch features the interlocking looper grid on both the top and bottom of the fabric. It provides superior stretch and is the industry standard for activewear, swimwear, and professional knit finishes.
Is this a serger? No. A serger uses a knife to trim the fabric and wraps the edge to prevent fraying. The CoverPro 3000P is designed to fold the fabric under and sew a stretchy, secure hem, exactly like the hems on store-bought t-shirts.
Does it have a free arm? Yes! The built-in free arm makes it incredibly easy to hem tubular items like pant legs, necklines, and small cuffs without snagging your fabric.

Closest Comparisons:
    • Janome CP3000P vs. Janome 2000CPX: While both feature the TLC system and a large 4" x 5.5" workspace, the 3000P is a massive structural and feature upgrade. By stepping up to the 3000P, you gain the built-in Top Cover Stitch capability, the built-in needle threader, the retractable High Light, and the heavy-duty ball-bearing construction for reduced vibration.
    • Janome CP3000P vs. Elna eXtend Covermax: These are premium sister machines with identical heavy-duty internal mechanics. Both offer the 5-thread top cover stitch capabilities, built-in needle threaders, and the retractable front light. The primary differences are the exterior styling and branding.

What is your order processing time?

As of Feb 20th, we're zipping through orders in 2-4 business days! 🚀 Please be patient with fabric bundles though, these do take us just a little be longer since they are curated specially for you.

Just a heads up, though - during the holiday frenzy or after a mega sale like Black Friday, it might take up to 10 business days. We're on it, though, aiming to get those gorgeous fabrics in your hands within 5 days!
