Fit & Fix:  Custom tailoring for your unique wardrobe!

Are there things in the back of the closet you love but never wear because they’re a little “off”? Maybe the sleeve's short, the hem’s long or the armhole is snug; Perhaps the pants don’t fit at the waist and hips at the same time, and you’re not sure how to fix it. These are just some of the fit issues you can learn to resolve with tailoring techniques, and Fit &Fix will get you started!

For this 3 hour class, you’ll bring in one garment to work on. Together we’ll learn practical, professional techniques based on your garment’s specific needs, so you can understand the “why” behind the fit. Come ready to get hands-on fixing your piece.

Feel encouraged to take this class more than once to tailor your complete wardrobe!

What to Bring:

    • Shortening or lengthening pants, skirt, or dress hem

    • Shortening or lengthening sleeves

    • Taking in pant or skirt waist

    • Moving/repairing hardware

    • Other adjustments depending on the garment; please reach out to verify the viability of more complex alterations

  • Matching thread (Feel free to pick some up in store if you need)

What You’ll Learn:

  • How to diagnose, analyze, and address fit issues

  • Professional tailoring tricks and techniques specific to your garment

  • Stackable skills you can reuse for other projects

Instructor: Stephanie Parks
Stephanie is a Baltimore-based costume designer, educator, and maker with a strong background in garment fitting and construction. Trained at Pratt Institute and holding an MFA in Costume Design from the University of Maryland, she’s worked in professional costume shops and theaters across the country as a stitcher, draper, and designer. Her experience ranges from regional theater to major institutions, all rooted in making garments fit real bodies and real movement.

She brings that same practical, no-nonsense approach into the studio—because better fit isn’t magic, it’s skill (and a little patience).

Come once. Come back again. Your closet will thank you.

FAQ'S

Are your fabrics sold by the yard or half yard?

Everything's sold by the yard with a few exceptions.  Certain Ribbing & Quilting Cottons are sold by the half yard (but this is stated in the title).

What is your order processing time?

As of Feb 20th, we're zipping through orders in 2-4 business days! 🚀 Please be patient with fabric bundles though, these do take us just a little be longer since they are curated specially for you.

Just a heads up, though - during the holiday frenzy or after a mega sale like Black Friday, it might take up to 10 business days. We're on it, though, aiming to get those gorgeous fabrics in your hands within 5 days!

Do you Combine Shipping?

Absolutely! Place any orders within 3 business days of each other, and we'll snug them together. If they're further apart, just shoot us an email at bohofabrics@gmail.com, and we'll see what we can do. Any shipping overages will come back to you as a Boho Giftcard. 🎁

Do you Refund Shipping Overages?

Great News!  We now offer FREE SHIPPING for all orders over $175 within the Contiguous USA!  If your order is less than $175, we offer flat rate shipping for $12.95.  Due to our new Flat Rate Shipping policy, we do not refund shipping overages.

Can I cancel my order?

You bet, as long as we haven't printed that shipping label. We'll refund your order minus a 5% fee.

How much is Shipping?

For orders over $175, shipping's on us within the Contiguous USA! Orders under $175 have a flat rate of $12.95. Really big orders might need to bypass PO Boxes and head straight to a traditional address via UPS or FedEx.

*Excludes Shipping to PO Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii & Puerto Rico. Shipping overages will be invoiced to customers for packages being shipped to those regions.

What is your Return Policy?

Gotcha covered! If the fabric isn't quite what you envisioned, send it back within 14 days of receiving it, uncut and unwashed, for a refund

Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable as this is a cost incurred and not refunded to us by the carriers.

We recommend obtaining tracking for any returns you send as well as sending us an email so that we can be on alert for the package (and to process your return faster!)

Please send returns to:

Boho Fabrics LLC

14600 York Road, Suite J

Sparks, MD 21152

For any issues with quality or damaged fabric, please send an email to bohofabrics@gmail.com so that we can work on a resolution for you.

Do you offer local pickup?

Of course!  Select Pick-Up at check-out and we will send you an email/pick-up notification once it's ready.

Do you offer International Shipping?

Worldwide, baby! 🌍 Email us for a quote. It's a bit pricier, but we'll make sure you get the best rate possible. Just a note: Special deals including shipping might have extra charges for international orders.

* These are flat-rate equivalent estimates.  If fabric does not fit into the USPS Flat Rate boxes, customers will be billed shipping overages before their order ships.
