But once you learn the basics, they can make your sewing faster, cleaner, and more professional-looking.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn how a serger works, how to thread it, and how to create clean finished seams and edges with confidence. We’ll also cover tension basics, differential feed, and simple maintenance like cleaning and changing needles.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eStudents will gain hands-on experience creating basic overlock stitches while becoming more comfortable using a serger. We have sergers available for classroom demonstrations and practice. Students who would like to bring their own serger are welcome to do so, provided the machine is currently in good working order and includes all necessary foot pedals, power supplies, and manuals.
